Everyone in Picket Fences knows the CSX crossing on West 15th Street. It is the only road in, and trains have stopped across it more than once, including in March 2025 and March 2020. The city is building a gated emergency-only road out to McCall Road because of it, and the subdivision is the reason Rincon now restricts new neighborhoods with a single entrance.
For us that just means planning. We leave room in the schedule for a train, and we bring everything on the first trip, including the coil and the gutter machine, so we are not going back and forth across the tracks all day.
